Rachel and Manuel are a flute and guitar duo whom both graduated from the University of New South Wales (UNSW) and studied a Bachelor of Music together where they formed as a duo. Both Rachel and Manuel perform extensively as soloists and as part of ensembles.
Rachel Woolley discovered her love for music at a young age, commencing piano at age 6 and flute at age 8. Whilst attending St Andrew's Cathedral School as a music scholar, Rachel completed her Certificate of Performance AMEB in both flute and piano and musicianship grade 7 AMEB. Rachel has been a member of the UNSW Wind Symphony and UNSW Orchestra playing both flute and piccolo. Rachel was selected to perform at two flute masterclasses with Geoffrey Collins during her time at UNSW. Rachel achieved her Bachelor of Music with Distinction from UNSW in 2020.
Manuel has performed as part of the guitar ensemble at University who have performed both within the University and externally. Alongside the UNSW ensemble, Manuel has also been part of the Classical Guitar Society of Sydney (CGS) ensemble and has performed with this group for over 5 years. Manuel has also performed as a soloist for Suzuki Guitar festivals, CGS performances, UNSW performances, and gave his debut solo recital in Vienna in January 2020.
